Who is Jessica Bass? And what is Dance Fitness with Jessica?
Bass is a mother of three whose fitness career began in 2012 while choreographing dance classes for a small group at her church. Bass’ passion for dance and her ability to find release through the art fueled her desire to share her passion with others.
“Music and Dance have always been a great passion of mine, and to be quite honest it’s what has helped me get through many hard times in my life. Fitness was my escape,” said Bass.
Since her humble beginnings teaching classes at her church. Bass’ fitness community has grown rapidly. Shortly after posting her choreographed dance of “Dark Horse” by Katy Perry to YouTube, the video went viral. Since that first YouTube post, Bass has created multiple fitness DVDs, a fitness apparel line and opened two studios in Knoxville. Dance Fit with Jessica now has a following of over 700,000 people. Despite her huge following, Bass says that the purpose of her classes remains to empower and motivate others.
