She completed her internships at the Naval Medical Center and Miramar Marine Air Station in San Diego, CA and at the Eye Center of Texas in Houston, TX, where she specialized in contact lenses fitting and ocular pathology. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the East Tennessee Optometric Association. Dr. Best lives in West Knoxville with her husband, two boys, and their beagle.
